This is the latest NOMAD Jukebox® 3 firmware v1.32.02 for users using Windows® 98, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium and Windows XP.
This firmware enhancement includes:
- Direct Audio Track Transfer between Players via 1394 port
You can now transfer audio tracks directly from your NOMAD Jukebox 3 to another NOMAD Jukebox 3 or NOMAD Jukebox Zen without connecting the players to a computer. You will need a 4-pin to 4-pin 1394 cable to achieve this. Copy protected tracks such as WMA (with DRM) or preloaded contents cannot be transferred out of the player.
- Improved Recording Features
- Reorganization of recording options
All recording options ("Line-In", "Optical-In", "Mic-In", “Mic-In (Mono)" and "W. Remote") are now grouped under "Record Audio". The "Record Audio" option can be found on the Menu window. Note: Select "W. Remote" if you want to record audio with the FM Wired Remote (available separately).
- Synchronized recording
If you are recording songs from a CD to your player using "Line-In" or "Optical-In", you can choose to turn on "Synchro" to let your player synchronize the recording with the audio source.
When you turn on "Synchro", your player will automatically detect the 2 second silence between songs on your CD, and record each song as a separate audio track. In addition, your player will automatically stop recording when the last song has been recorded.
- Separating a recording into several audio tracks
You can now manually separate any recording into several audio tracks.
- Microphone recording
You can now record audio with a microphone (available separately) by directly connecting it to your player. Your player supports microphone recording with dynamic microphones and self-powered condenser microphones. If the audio that you want to record is relatively soft, your player can help boost the volume of the recording by as much as 48 dB.
- Improved Scroller Sensitivity
Navigating through the Music Library is now easier because of improvements to the speed sensitivity of the scroller.
- New Menu Options
"Now Playing" and "Find Music" options can now be found on the Menu window. "30 sec" and "60 sec" options for backlight duration are now available on the Power Settings window.
