This patch is for products bundled with Creative Disc Detector. When Disc Detector is installed in your computer, the Autorun or Autoplay feature in Windows may become disabled.

Download this patch only if the Autorun or Autoplay feature is disabled; there is no need to download it otherwise.

INSTALLING THE CREATIVE DISC DETECTOR INSTALLATION PATCH UTILITY

1) Copy the DDInsUpd.exe file into any folder on your hard disk.
2) Double-click the DDInsUpd.EXE file. The utility runs automatically.

If for some reason, you need to reinstall Disc Detector, run this patch again.

Overview
This package is meant for Sound Blaster® Vibra128, Sound Blaster 16 PCI, Sound Blaster PCI 128, Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital, and Sound Blaster Ensoniq AudioPCI users running Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP, who experienced distortion problem when playing a wave or MP3 file in 4 speaker mode. For PRODIKEYS™ users who are running on Windows 98SE, this Web Update will enable them to record and playback under IMPRESS mode within the PRODIKEYS application. The package will contain the following:

Notes

• Creative Configurator works with VXD drivers only. The Creative Configurator program link in the Start Menu will be removed after users install the Web Update.
• For users who are running Windows 98SE, this Web Update will upgrade VXD drivers to WDM drivers.
• This package is not applicable to model CT4730 2-channel audio card. Installation WILL NOT proceed.

ENSONIQ Audio PCI Driver for Windows 9x

This is the latest standalone driver for Creative ENSONIQ AudioPCI on Windows 95/98. This update is meant for users who are using version 113x series driver.

This release includes:

• Updated drivers (Ver: 4.05.1139) for Creative ENSONIQ AudioPCI (ES1371 Card)
• Creative ENSONIQ AudioPCI Mixer
• Improved audio for titles that support 3D audio

Please refer to the README.TXT for further details.

Note: This driver update does not contain any wavesets.

Latest Windows NT 4.0 (English language) update for the SB PCI64 (ES1370 card) which includes:

• Drivers version 4.00.1035
• Sound Blaster PCI64 Mixer

This update:

• Stabilizes the loading problem with 4 and 8MB wavesets.
• Was modified to turn on Microphone Bias at all times. The "Mic Bias" option is thus removed from the mixer.
• Now shows "Voice Count" in Device dialog box under multimedia properties.

The DOS test waveset is located in the waveset directory of the installation CD.

The DOS test waveset is the smallest waveset we could make that includes ONLY the instrument necessary to playback the MIDI notes for APTEST.EXE. It is designed to fit on a boot floppy disk with the other necessary files to test the sound card in MS-DOS Mode.

NOTE: This is not a complete waveset. It should not be loaded in Windows.
